I am travelling to your city and will be there for work. I look forward to meeting the people of the city and area as well as try the local foods... any ideas or suggestions?

Try the famous saltenas, you'll find a couple of places on El Prado, one is Castores I forgot the name of the other one, but it'll be easy to find. Also recommended for cakes, pastries, ie empanadas and various sweets go to Reposteria EL EDEN on calle Espana (entre Colombia y Ecuador) For lunch and dinner you'll find the Recoleta area has some of the best places.
