Fast Food in Santa CruzRecetas en Español • Restaurant Review • Grocery Stores • Markets There are some international fast food chains in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. I suggest trying some Bolivian food while you’re here myself ... after all, you did travel half way around the world to get here ... but hey, that’s just me. In Santa Cruz there are several “cruceño” fast food restaurants as well that are fairly popular among the grease and ketchup crowd. I actually like the local fare better than the international franchises. Maybe cuz they’re allowed to use more grease for flavor…the hamburgers taste more like home made, the fries are, well, Bolivia has over 1200 varieties of potatoes, our potatoes just HAVE to be good! There are also dozens and dozens of places to buy chicken – “pollo” is our most popular fast food. You can get it deep fried, roasted, broasted or toasted. You’ll find more chicken restaurants than any other kind of restaurant in Santa Cruz. Chicken combos usually include rice, friend plantain, and french fries. Or try a pacumuto, lomito or silpancho for truly authentic Bolivian food served fast (listed below). If burgers or chicken don’t appeal to you, there are many, many
pizza
chains to choose from too. In the morning, try a couple of
salteñas,
and at teatime indulge at one of our numerous
bakeries
or
coffee shops
– they all serve quickly! Fast food doesn't have to be bad for you!
