EVENTS IN SANTA CRUZ

The number of events that take place in Santa Cruz each year never ceases to amaze me. In addition many public holidays and regional festivals are held each year in the Department of Santa Cruz and the local population celebrates several international days and special occasions as well, so many in fact, that I’ve dedicated an entire separate section to covering our holidays and festivals.

As one of Bolivia’s fastest growing cities and the nation’s financial center, each year more and more local, national and international business events are scheduled to take place here to promote commerce, exports and trade for the department’s main industries, such as mining, forestry and agriculture, many of which lead to others involving the region’s cuisine. Santa Cruz is also the center of Bolivia’s colorful arts, fashion and entertainment industries and sports are also very (VERY VERY) popular.
