Elay Puej Folklore Festival 2009 in Santa Cruz

The Elay Puej Festival is a really nice opportunity to see some of Bolivia's young people and children (20 dance troupes in all - and they're really quite good) perform some of our traditional folkloric dances. In 2008 it took place on a stage in the plaza behind the Cathedral on the main plaza. However in 2009 they'll have a much larger area. Avenida Cristobal de Mendoza (known as the 2nd Ring) will be closed off between the Cristo (the big statue of Christ) and Avenida La Salle (the avenue that runs along the side of La Salle School). The entrance fee is Bs. 15. This will take place on Saturday the 19th of September, 2009 at 7:30.
