Can I Pay the Visa Fee at the Airport?

by Linda
(Santa Cruz)

Hi. Tomorrow I´m leaving to my country, and I have been here more than 90 days, because we didn't know about the new law. So I have to pay the fee of 20 bolivianos per day. My question is, how do I pay it? Can I pay it afterwards or do I have to take it out in cash?

I'm leaving from Santa Cruz, they should have a cash machine at airport?

you will be charged at airport immigration

You will most likely be charged the visa late fee at immigration at the airport. After check-in you need to first pay the airport exit taxes (there are two of these taxes) and these you pay downstairs just across from the check-in counters. However, when you go upstairs and through security you will pass through airport immigration. This is where you may be charged your fines of Bs. 20 per day. Whether or not you are fined seems to sort of depend on the mood of the officials, however.
