The President and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy was invited to Dallas, Texas to assist the Kennedy's Administration for a second term in Office. Upon arriving at Love Field in Dallas, Texas and while the crowd was waving towards President Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy with complete enthusiasm,the motorcade was driving down stemmons freeway, suddenly, a rifle shot echoed flatly over the noise, and Jacqueline B. Kennedy had cradled the shattered, blood-stained head of her husband, the 35th. President of the United States in her arms on November the 22, 1963, heading towards Parkland Hospital with the help of the Secret Service agents. On November 25, 1963, President Kennedy was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
Five years later she married Greek shipping Magnate Aristotle Onassis; they remained married until his death in 1975. For the final two decades of her life, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis had a career as a book editor.
She is remembered for her contributions to the Arts and Preservation of Historic Architecture, her style, elegance and grace.
