Bolivia Postage of
President Morales; The first Horse Race is lost in prehistory. Both four-hitch chariot and mounted (bareback) races were held in the Olympic Games of Greece over the period of 700-40 BC. Horse Racing, both of chariots and of mounted riders became public entertainment for the Roman Empire. The history of racing in ancient civilizations is not firmly established. Presumably, racing began in such countries as China, Persia, Arabia, and other countries of South America and North Africa, where horsemanship early became highly developed. Thence came too the Arabian, and Turk horses that contributed to the earliest racing. Such horses became familiar to the Crusades of (11th to 13th) Century.
In the Country of Bolivia "Horse Racing" is a very popular sport in the Eastern Plains of Bolivia. Therefore, I have created this Bolivia Postage Design of "Horse Racing" to honor the very old tradition of Horse Racing enthusiast throughout our World.
I have forwarded this Bolivia Postage Design to the Postal Administration for consideration for honoring the oldest tradition of "Horse Racing."
