American investor in Bolivia still in limbo after 10 months in jail uncharged

5-Apr-2012 Jacob Ostreicher, of New York, has spent the past 10 months in jail in Santa Cruz, Bolivia even though no charges have been formally made against him. Along with Swiss investors, he ventured $25 million dollars to produce rice in Bolivia's Eastern province, only to find that he has now been accused of money laundering because a portion of the land they purchased for their venture belonged to a former drug lord.
