Alasitas in Santa Cruz

Alasitas, Bolivia's traditional "miniatures" fair takes place in September in Santa Cruz (and in February in La Paz). The Aymara believe the Ekkekko (the god of abundance) will give them everything they ask for if they purchase it in miniature and pin it to his poncho.
