Airline Information
Aerosur began operating as a national airline in
Bolivia
in 1992 and has since expanded its operations to include charter services and flights to some international destinations. Currently it is the largest airline in Bolivia (since Lloyd Aereo Boliviano went out of business in April 2007) and it continues to grow. Aside from its numerous domestic destinations, the airline now also flies to Madrid (Spain), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Miami (Florida), Buenos Aires and Salta (in Argentina), and Asunción (Paraguay). Cuba, Venezuela and Mexico will soon be destinations offered. Based out of Viru Viru International Airport in
Santa Cruz,
it offers domestic flights between Santa Cruz,
Cochabamba,
La Paz,
Cobija (Pando),
Puerto Suarez

From my own experience, this one of the best airlines serving Bolivia at this time. It is safe, reliable, punctual, its staff and flight attendants are professional and personable, and they are a well-organized, sure-to-continue-growing company. I’ve never had a problem with lost luggage, and rarely have experienced delays.
