Summary: Aerosur is a private Bolivian airline with routes to La Paz, Cochabamba, Santa Cruz, Sucre, Tarija, Trinidad, Cobija, and Puerto Suárez. Internationally it was flying to Buenos Aires, San Paolo, Madrid, Miami and many other cities in South America; however, it began to experience some legal and financial problems when the government-owned airline BOA was created, and as of early 2012, the future of this airline seems uncertain, at least in terms of international flights, many of which have been cancelled. Airline InformationAerosur began operating as a national airline in Bolivia in 1992 and expanded its operations to include charter services and flights to some international destinations. Based out of Viru Viru International Airport in Santa Cruz, it offers domestic flights between Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, La Paz, Cobija (Pando), Puerto Suárez, (southeastern Santa Cruz) and Rurrenabaque (Beni), and small cities in between.
