Absence between applications

by Ben Bandido
(Bolivia)

I have already been granted a one year Visa and an ID card by the Bolivian authority towards my quest for permanent residence, next move is to go through the same system again in order to acquire a further two year continuous stay, followed yet again with the same application moves for a three year ID and the final qualification of the required residency status.

The question here is, can one travel to other countries during the stay allowed gaps between applications, and if so how long absence is the allowed away time from Bolivia soil?

Hi Anonymous,
Grateful thanks for your succinct and detailed explanation on the subject.
I am sure you have hit the nail on the head and I am genuinely inclined to lean your way as to how things will actually shape up for me in due course.
Thank you again.
Ben.

Absence between applications
by: Anonymous

Hi, it is 89 days indeed.
After 1 year visa, you will apply for 2 year residence visa, there is no an 18 months visa or 3 years residece visa. Also there is no Bolivian passport after 2 years residence visa. After 2 years residence visa you can apply for permanent visa, or bolivian citizenship (requirements vary, and applicants must prove valid reasons, such us bolivian children, wife/husband, bussines, work). further information: rebecagonzales@gmail.com

grateful appreciation
by: Ben Bandido

Hi Paul,
Thank you again for your second input, this time regarding the 18 months residence issue, I had no idea whatsoever, I thought I needed to plod on twice more through the heinous and most incompetent bureaucracy ever conceived prior to achieving the projected final goal.
You certainly made my day, I can not thank you enough.
Sincere regards,
Ben.

Many thanks
by: Ben Bandido

Hi Paul,
Many thanks for that.I wonder though if the 90 days is for the whole caboodle or does one get 90 on each and every stage of the application, I am truely sorry to have to bother you yet again Paul, but I feel you might be able to shade more light on the subject, since it seems like you have already gone through this process yourself.
Kind regards,
Ben.
