OUR BOLIVIA 1 PEACE CORPS GROUP IS CONSIDERING GOING TO THE BAROQUE MUSIC FESTIVAL. IS IT GOING TO BE HELD? WHO WOULD WE CONTACT FOR RESERVATIONS. PROBABLY ABOUT 20-30 PEOPLE.

Yes! The festival will take place from 22 April to 2 May, 2010. Those are the dates published on the organizer's website at this time. Preparations are already under way and it's always a good idea to make reservations pretty far in advance, especially for such a large group.

APAC (Asociacion Pro Arte y Cultura) is the institution that organizes the festival. Generally they organize the festival, then pass the information on to travel agencies and tour operators who make reservations for tourists.

I suggest you contact our preferred tour operator as they run tours to the Missions throughout the year and especially during the Renaissance Music Festival. They'll let you know if it's too early to make reservations yet, or if it's time to do so now.

The festival takes place in about 8-10 different towns each year. There is an extremely full agenda of orchestra and choir concerts, some theater presentations, etc. So you generally have to choose 1-3 towns to visit during this time. Ruta Verde can tell you where they think you'll optimize your experience best as a large group.
